Webinar On-demand: Answering Your Questions About Jazz Admin as a Service (JAaaS)

Call Jazz Admin as a Service (JAaaS) “managed services with an IBM Jazz purpose.”

ClearObject launched JAaaS to help take admin tasks off the plate of administrators who oversee IT systems, engineering and development operations, SaaS applications, and especially IBM’s ELM solution and Rational tool suite. In effect, JAaaS gives you a managed services partner to skillfully care for your tools and associated functions like diagnostics and user training. ClearObject’s Jazz Admins also help manage tasks for implementation and customization as well as troubleshooting and support.

Beyond just managed services

Overall, the aim of JAaaS is to let you focus entirely on activities that add value to the business. By tackling the day-to-day issues of your user base and the needs of your organization, JAaaS puts more time back in your day, limits downtime and impacts to users, and allows you to stay proactive and plan ahead.

Webinar on-demand to answer your questions

We know JAaaS is still relatively new to the managed services landscape. And we know you have questions. So we brought three of ClearObject’s senior-most IBM experts together for a roundtable discussion — webinar style — to answer many of the questions they’ve been getting about JAaaS.

Ron Felice is a product owner in ClearObject’s Engineering Product Development R&D group. Prior to ClearObject, he was a solution architect at IBM, where he worked for 14 years. He has worked in the technology sector for 25 years overall.

Darrel Raider has been the director of Customer Success at ClearObject since 2014. Before that, he worked at IBM for 14 years in various capacities for IBM’s Rational Lab Services. His career of more than 30 years also includes having been a software engineering specialist experienced in the Rational software suite.

Jason Epstein is a systems engineer for ClearObject’s Managed Services Operations and has worked in the IT field for more than 20 years. For the past 17 years, he has specialized in working with the Rational suite of tools. His industry background spans federal and state governments, defense, banking, insurance, the automotive sector, and even NASA.

In answering questions they’ve received about JAaaS and managed services as a whole, here’s some of what they discussed…

  • No one can know everything about everything, especially under the Rational umbrella.
  • User training isn’t just training, it’s an ongoing learning experience. Continuous learning means continuous Improvement.
  • Rational tools provide a lot of power, and understanding usage models is the key to unlocking it.
  • A well skilled admin is important in getting your environment set up. But they’re more important in terms of user adoption.
  • Dashboards are effective only if every user understands them.

And the final roundtable thought. “It’s incumbent upon us as experts in the IBM and managed services space to be able to tell customers exactly how we can help.”

Call us a partner you can count on to be your extra pair of hands and meet the high expectations and standards you’ve set.
